Aeroterra Joins International
Network of Radarsat Distributors
RADARSAT International
(RSI) of Richmond, British Columbia, Canada is
pleased to announce that Aeroterra S.A. of Buenos
Aires, Argentina has signed a license agreement
with RSI to distribute RADARSAT data in Argentina
and Uruguay.
Aeroterra is one of Argentina´s
largest distributors of remote sensing, photogrammetry
and GIS products and services. The company supports
its extensive product offerings with a wide range
of training courses which address client applications
in the areas of municipal planning environmental
monitoring, cartography, defense, agriculture
planning, and natural resource management.
In a recent pilot project,
Aeroterra is supporting DIAS, a government agency
of the Province of Buenos Aires, in the use of
RADARSAT data for monitoring floods in the various
agricultural areas in the province. In addition,
Aeroterra will be offering courses which focus
on training clients to use RADARSAT data in a
variety of applications. These will be held on
a regular basis at Aeroterra´s training
Centre in the city of Buenos Aires.

a huge impact in the way that we are evaluating
and analyzing our natural resources. Many areas
of Argentina and Uruguay currently have very poor
coverage. Through RADARSAT, users will now have
access to complete and updated coverage of these
regions", noted Mr. Carlos M. Viola, Executive
Vice President of Aeroterra.
