AEROTERRA TURNS 35!!!!!

On October 29 of 2008 AEROTERRA will be celebrating its 35 years of being incorporated as a registered business company. Since its inception, the company has had a special dedication to technology transfer as a way to exchange valuable technical information.

For celebrating our 35 years and we have designed a commemorative logo that we will be using throughout this year.

The words in Latin in the logo: FACTA NON VERBA (Facts not words) summarize our corporate philosophy.

We want to share with all of our clients, customers, employees and friends this celebration that makes us proud and is proposing new challenges to continue growing together.

New Regional Office "NOA"

Yacimiento Virtual

Aeroterra S.A. is pleased to announce the recent opening of its new Regional Office NOA, in the city of San Miguel de Tucumán.

The new offices are located in the area of tribunales in downtown San Miguel de Tucumán, in the building Tribunales Park,on Lamadrid 377, 6 “A”.

This will function as AEROTERRA’s headquarters serving the Argentine Northwest región. Through this office AEROPTERRA will be able to better support and serve its clients and GIS users in general.

Aeroterra announced the launch of the new version 9.2 of Yacimiento Virtual.

This new version provides improved tools for the design of surface facilities, new interfaces and graphics for data production. The last version provides a user manual that describes the general operation of Yacimiento Virtual and shows in detail all of its functions. Both in the desktop as in the Yacimiento Virtual server new features were incorporated.

Mr. Jose Iruzubieta will be leading the operations in Tucuman. Promoting the development of GIS in the NOA region as well as the different services and products that AEROTERRA has to offer, will be among Jose’s main objectives.

XV ESRI Latin American User Conference.

The XV Latin-American ESRI User will be held next october, in Santiago de Chile.

ESRI Supports Microsoft SQL Server 2008

ArcGIS 9.3 software, the next release of ESRI's ArcGIS suite, will take full advantage of the new spatial technology in the upcoming release of SQL Server 2008. Microsoft will introduce two spatial types: Geography and Geometry. ArcGIS 9.3 will fully support both. This will help many GIS customers who have asked for SQL access to spatial features stored in SQL Server. Learn more in the following link.
